Eligibility

Nassau County residents. SNAP eligibility depends on household income, household size and expenses; many working households and people receiving SSI, WIC, CSFP or Meals on Wheels may qualify.

What to bring

Have household-size, income and expense information available; staff will explain which supporting documents are needed.

Requirements

A SNAP application and eligibility interview are required. NOEP can help complete the application and explain any documents requested by the SNAP agency.

Call NOEP for free, confidential SNAP prescreening, application help and advocacy. Assistance is available through the Freeport office and community enrollment events.
