What to do
Start here: Ask a participating pharmacy for naloxone and present your insurance card; you generally do not need your own naloxone prescription because pharmacists can use the statewide standing order.
Eligibility: Present prescription insurance at a participating pharmacy and request naloxone. The insurer may impose limits on the amount dispensed.
What you get
N-CAP helps pay the copay for naloxone obtained at participating pharmacies under a prescription or pharmacy standing order.
Benefit: Up to $40 of naloxone copay costs can be covered; if the copay is $40 or less, the out-of-pocket copay can be $0.
