Own or Manage Downstate Affordable Housing? AMEEP Can Pay Toward Major Energy Upgrades
The Affordable Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program offers incentives for eligible energy-efficiency equipment and technology in downstate affordable multifamily buildings with five or more residential units.
Who
Owners or managers of existing qualifying affordable multifamily buildings with at least five residential units in participating downstate utility territories.
Where: Downstate participating utility territories, including Con Edison, National Grid Long Island and National Grid Metro service areas.
What to do
Start here: Use NYSERDA's AMEEP page to identify the building's participating utility program and submit the current interest/application form before committing to project work.
Eligibility: The property must document affordable multifamily status, have at least five residential units and meet the participating utility/program requirements.
What you get
AMEEP helps offset qualifying energy-upgrade costs through a joint NYSERDA/utility program, with project pathways and incentive amounts determined by the building, utility and measures installed.
Benefit: Project-specific incentives toward approved energy-efficiency equipment and building upgrades.
Possible value: No single flat rebate. Incentive amounts depend on the utility, measures, project pathway, verified savings and current program rules.
