Eligible New York homeowners completing qualifying Comfort Home work through a trained participating contractor, subject to program and utility/service-area rules.

Eligibility: The home and proposed work must qualify under Comfort Home rules and be completed through a participating contractor. The contractor determines the package and project scope.
What you get
Participating Comfort Home contractors assess the home and install eligible air sealing, attic/rim-joist insulation, wall/floor insulation and qualifying window packages.
Benefit: Current published incentives are $2,500 for the Good package, $3,000 for the Better package, and up to a $2,000 Windows Add-On after qualifying air-sealing/insulation work.
Possible value: $2,500–$3,000 for the main package, potentially plus up to $2,000 for an eligible window add-on; actual project cost is separate.
Good to know
Important: The incentive does not mean the work is free or necessarily paid to you before the contractor is paid. Total project cost can exceed the incentive, and the Windows Add-On requires qualifying air-sealing/insulation work.

Why people miss it: Homeowners looking for heat-pump or income-qualified weatherization programs may never see this separate market-rate building-envelope incentive.
